Project Summary

As part of the renewable energy expansion initiative, the Altai 10 MW Solar Power Plant Project, implemented in Yesunbulag soum of Govi-Altai province, is the first solar power plant in Mongolia to be fully designed and constructed independently by Mongolian engineers.

Since commissioning, it has been supplying 18.4 million kWh of clean electricity annually to the Altai–Uliastai energy system and reduces carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by 15,313 tons per year.

The project delivers clean energy to households in provinces remote from the Central Energy System specifically, 49,092 residents and 14,246 households in Govi-Altai province.
