Scope of Work
- Construction of transmission pipelines to deliver recycled water to the storage reservoirs at Thermal Power Plants No. 3 and No. 4
- Construction of pumping stations
- Installation of control systems required for the utilization of recycled water in the operations of Thermal Power Plants No. 3 and No. 4
Project Summary
This project marks the establishment of Mongolia’s first wastewater recycling plant, a strategically important development that will enable the reuse of treated water from Ulaanbaatar’s New Central Wastewater Treatment Plant for industrial purposes specifically, as technical water for thermal power plants.
Once completed, the facility will be capable of recycling 50,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day, or 18.3 million cubic meters per year, significantly reducing the use of groundwater for industrial purposes and helping to preserve Ulaanbaatar’s potable water resources.
By establishing the nation’s first wastewater recycling facility, the project introduces a new model for sustainable and responsible water resource management, promoting eco-friendly practices and long-term environmental resilience in Mongolia’s capital.
