Project Summary

MCS International LLC served as the EPC Contractor for the Oyu Tolgoi Thermal Power Plant Expansion Project, successfully completing the construction and commissioning of two 29 MW boilers, along with associated buildings and auxiliary facilities, in full compliance with international standards.

This project played a strategic role in providing a reliable and timely heat supply required for the Phase 2 underground mine development. Over 800 local and international specialists participated in its implementation. The project was executed with a high level of organization, using modular pre-assembly and installation techniques, which had a significant positive impact on both project schedule and quality.
